BBI: Russian billionaires get richer by $3.2 bln since Jan 1
MOSCOW, May 3 (PRIME) -- The combined wealth of Russian billionaires increased by U.S. $3.196 billion in January–April, as reported by Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI) late Tuesday.
The index is calculated based on capitalization and financial reports of companies owned by businessmen, or on a ratio between capitalization and earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) or a ratio between a share price and earning per share.
The wealth of Novatek CEO Leonid Mikhelson grew by $14.7 million to $17.3 billion; of Alexei Mordashov fell by $525.2 million to $16.4 billion; of Vladimir Potanin decreased by $834.1 million to $15.8 billion.
Mikhail Fridman raised his capital by $1 billion to $14.3 billion; Oleg Deripaska by $790.4 million to $6.9 billion; Viktor Vekselberg by $703.1 million to $14.9 billion.
Vagit Alekperov lost $1 billion and Gennady Timchenko $436.5 million.
